Recycling
Recycling involves working used materials in to new products, to avoid the waste of potential useful materials, cut down consumption of new raw materials, cut down energy use, reduce air pollution (from incineration) and pollution water (discharge), reducing the need for "conventional" waste disposal, and reduce emissions of greenhouse gases compared with virgin production.Recycling is a key component of modern waste management and is the third component of the "hierarchy of Reduce, Reuse, Recycle" waste.
Plastic recycling
The plastic recycling is the technique of recovering scrap or waste plastics and reprocessing the material in to useful products, sometimes different from its original state. For example, this could mean melting soda bottles after casting and plastic chairs and tables.
Before recycling, plastics are sorted according to their resin identification code, a method of classification of types of polymers, which was developed by the Society of Plastics Engineers in 1998. |
Paper recycling |
Paper recycling is the technique of recovering waste paper and remaking in to new paper products. There's two categories of paper that can be used as raw materials for the manufacture of recycled paper: mill broke, waste before consumer and post-consumer waste. [1] Mill broke is paper trimmings and other paper scrap from the manufacture of paper, and recycled internally in a paper mill. Pre-consumer waste is material discarded before it was ready for consumer use. Post-consumer waste is material discarded after consumer use, such as elderly magazines, elderly telephone books and mixed residential paper.Paper for recycling is called "waste paper |
facts and benefits of Recycling |
Recycling is the processing of products a useful parts into a new product, this is done to conserve on the consumption of resources, energy and space used in landfills.
By recycling 1 plastic bottle not only saves between 100 and 1000 years in landfill, but also protects the environment from emissions in the production of new bottles and oil used to produce this bottle.
For every 1 ton of plastic that is recycled saves the equivalent of 2 people energy use for 1 year, the amount of water used by 1 person in 2 months time and almost 2000 pounds of oil.Odd as it seems that there are many people do not realize that bottled water comes in plastic is made from petroleum.
This is the same oil used to produce gasoline. It's the same oil that is in such high demand and is not an unlimited resource.
Today the most common products in the cities are recycling programs for paper products, cardboard, plastic, glass and aluminum,

Why is Recycling Important |
Recycling is five of the best ways for you to have a positive impact on the world they live. Recycling is important for the environment, both natural to us. They must act rapid as the amount of waste they generate is growing all the time.
The amount of rubbish we create is constantly increasing because:
NCREASING wealth means that people are buying more products & ultimately generating more waste
Increased population means more people on the planet to create waste .
New packaging and technological products are being developed, much of these products contain materials that are not biodegradable.
New changes in lifestyle, like eating fast food, means that generate extra waste is not biodegradable
