Green House Effect
This section provides an overview of the atmospheric effect of the Earth "greenhouse effect", a brief exploration of the atmospheres of nearby planets and discussing the greenhouse gases in our atmosphere. The general concepts in this section include the following:
1.
"The greenhouse earth" is what makes this planet suitable for life as we know it .
2.The earth's atmosphere contains trace gases, a quantity of which absorb heat. These gases (water vapor, carbon dioxide, methane, ozone & nitrous oxide), are known as "greenhouse gases".
3. Albedo has an important influence on the earth's temperature.
4. The heat-trapping capacity of a greenhouse is influenced by a number of factors such as transparency of the greenhouse cover, the color of the surfaces inside the greenhouse, and type of interior surface.
How Do Humans Contribute to the Greenhouse Effect?
While the greenhouse effect is an essential environmental prerequisite for life on Earth, there really can be too much of a good thing.
The problems begin when human activities distort and accelerate the natural process by creating more greenhouse gases in the atmosphere than are necessary to warm the planet to an ideal temperature.

1.
including gasoline for automobile engines increases the level of carbon dioxide in the atmosphere .
2.
Some agricultural practices and land use changes increase the levels of methane and nitrous oxide
3.Lots of factories produce long-lasting industrial gases that do not occur naturally, however, contribute significantly to the enhanced greenhouse effect and "global warming" that is currently underway.
4.Deforestation also contributes to global warming. Trees use carbon dioxide & release oxygen back in to place, helping to generate the optimal balance of gases in the atmosphere. As forests are cut down for timber or cut down to make way for agriculture, however, there's fewer trees to perform this critical function.

Benefits of Green Homes
|
| The trend goes beyond green building to save the environment. The green homeowners get a variety of benefits including utility savings, improved indoor air quality & less overall maintenance. Not surprisingly, green homes also have less negative impact on the environment by saving energy & reducing waste, during construction. |
